Soulframe is a new free-to-play MMO-RPG from Digital Extremes, the studio behind the online sci-fi AARPG, Warframe. Themes of nature, humanity, and alien expansion converge to create an experience where players engage in cultural and environmental restoration in a world rich in detail, beauty, and unique placemaking.
I aided event and social media marketing efforts by preparing and editing assets for public release. I also had the opportunity to collaborate with the game’s narrative writers to write poetic captions for several platforms.
I collaboratively organized in-person events and game showcases by shaping agendas, preparing assets, online relaying, and PR, notably of Soulframe Devstream 1 Live from TennoCon, which saw over 350k live viewers on the main Twitch livestream.
Forehead Chip is a narrative platformer set within a cyberpunk dystopia inspired by classic 80s/90s films and arcade games, independently developed in Canada.
Within a homegrown audience, social content averaged a 6.1% engagement rate on X (formerly Twitter) and varying results on other platforms (3-4%) (before any festival, creator, or external media involvement). Content showcases were incentivized but created uniquely due to the limited access to working builds and available game content.
In our early marketing efforts, we focused on optimizing the game for existing platforms, specifically Steam Storefront (and Steamworks). Available below is a co-written description, updated graphics, and an action teaser trailer:
Product wishlists doubled post optimization and through early social outreach.
COMING SOON. I have produced multiple trailers and (shortform) video content for this project, as future showcases are pending festival reveals/releases. An early action teaser is available on the storefront above.

As a Community Developer on the budding Soulframe Community team, I had the opportunity to engage with various aspects of the game’s early communications strategies, marketing initiatives, and ongoing development.
A significant aspect of community development was player research and advocacy, where I provided iterative design and development, shaping various game aspects, including combat design and systems, overworld design, narrative quest structures, narrative story implications, user experience, user interfaces, and digital accessibility features. Research was conducted through playtest monitoring, official/non-official forums, reports, and social media platforms (YouTube, Discord, Reddit, X (formerly Twitter), etc.), as well as content activity.
Through the efforts of the team, player advocacy, and community, Soulframe's player sentiment continues to iterate and improve toward public release.
I aided in the launch of Soulframe’s official Community Forums, contributing copywriting, guidelines, flavour text, icons, forum pages/topics, and other infrastructure:
Holding additional production responsibilities within live operations, I curated player content via hotfixes and patch notes by monitoring all studio production and development. The following is a co-written copy and technical writing sample for a major update:
Prioritized efforts involved prospective outreach to festivals, press, media, and creators, where I revised assets, prepared press kits, copywriting, and produced various image and video content for showcase (see above).
